AFRICA; Service & Community Insight
Indago offers a number of service trip opportunities for schools in Africa.

We run two trips in Africa dedicated entirely to service. This may be to meet the CAS requirements of the IB program, for other service requirements within the school, or simply as a unique experience for the students.

The opportunity to help improve the lives of others and enhance education experiences in impoverished areas is an incredible privilege, and is guaranteed to be a life-changing experience. The students will come back from the trip with new friends, incredible memories and as more mature, socially aware global citizens. The value of the trip will reach into many parts of the students’ lives, and the cross-cultural relationships developed will be a source of happiness and inspiration for many years to come. The school will also benefit from developing links and relationships across the world, and becoming part of a bigger global network.
Of course no visit to Africa would be complete without taking the opportunity to experience some of the animal life there. Our service trips therefore traditionally finish with a short safari to provide a magical finish to a memorable experience.
The Kalahari project
We run a service trip to the Kalahari desert in South Africa. This life-changing opportunity is particularly suited to older students, and provides the students, the teachers and the school a perfect chance to provide hope and empowerment to people in the area. Each trip serves a specific, clearly identified need in one of the poorest regions of the worl

Opportunities are available to bring a larger number of students from one school, or for smaller numbers of students to join with a larger group on pre-arranged dates.
Tanzania & Kenya

Indago also works closely with communities in Tanzania & Kenya, providing service and support in schools, orphanages and local community projects to work with children who have been deprived of many of the things we take for granted. Based on the model we use in South Africa (assisting in the classrooms with education and mentoring, as well as providing assistance with other needs, such as refurbishing or rebuilding classrooms, setting up libraries, or similar projects that are required at the time work closely with local schools, orphanages and communities to provide hope, support and company to the children, and to become actively involved with improving the quality of life of the residents, and the facilities available to them.
